Recycling Tyres – Garden Edging

Gardening Tip on Edging
You can create a nice edge border to you driveway or garden with used tires. Cut each tire in half, so that you have two half-circles. Dig a shallow trench as wide as a tire, and line up your tire half-pieces with their cut ends downward in the trench. Fill in enough dirt to keep them stable, and tamp it down firmly. You can even paint them in a color to match your home and landscaping.recycling-used-tyres

Recycling Tyres – Sandbox

Tyre Sand Box
Make a sandbox for your children or grandchildren by fill-
ing an old tractor tire with sand. Locate in an area of the
yard where you can easily keep an eye on the kids.
Find river sand or beach sand for the tractor tire sandbox
at gardening and/or landscape stores. Avoid purchasing
very fine sand that gives off a lot of dust which can be
inhaled.
